Policies & Terms of Service

Acknowledgment

By completing this registration process, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions listed below. You certify that you are physically able to safely perform all required activities, including class practice skills and testing scenarios. You understand that all sales are final and failure to follow policies may result in forfeiture of payment and/or denial of certification. You agree to provide valid identification if requested.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All registrations are final. No refunds will be issued once the registration process and payment are completed.

Cancellations made at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled class may be eligible for a one-time reschedule to be used within 30 days of the original class date. All rescheduled classes must be approved by an instructor.

If a rescheduled class is canceled or missed, the client must re-enroll and pay the full class fee.

A no call/no show to any scheduled class will result in forfeiture of the rescheduling option. A new registration and payment will be required.

Late Arrival Policy

Late arrivals may not be admitted to class. If entry is denied due to lateness, the booking will be considered a no show and a new registration and payment will be required.

Remediation Policy

If a student is unsuccessful in the class (for example, failing a skills test or written exam), the student will be allotted 30 minutes of remediation time included in the class fee.

If remediation extends beyond the initial 30 minutes, an additional fee of $25 per 30 minutes will apply.

All remediation fees must be paid immediately to continue. If not paid, the student must re-enroll and pay the full class fee.

If payment for additional remediation is not made, the instructor reserves the right to require the student to enroll in a new full class depending on the circumstances.

Examples include but are not limited to the instructor having another class scheduled, the student not retaining required information or skills, or the student requiring additional instruction beyond standard remediation.

Certification Policy

Certification is not guaranteed. Students must successfully complete all required skills and testing to receive certification.

Health & Safety Policy

Please be mindful and respectful of other students.

If you are feeling unwell on the day of your scheduled class, you must contact us to reschedule.

If you arrive with visible cold or allergy symptoms, the instructor may require you to wear a mask during class.

If you are unable or unwilling to wear a mask when requested, your class may be rescheduled one time at the instructor’s discretion.

If a student is unable to perform required skills due to illness, the instructor reserves the right to reschedule the class one time at their discretion.

Proof of Identity & Payment

A valid government-issued photo ID and the debit/credit card used for payment may be required at the time of your scheduled class.

The name on the ID and payment method must match the registration. Verification is required prior to issuance of certification.

 

Photo ID & Personal Information (PII)

Any government-issued photo ID submitted will be used strictly for identity verification. Hands Over Hearts CPR (HOHC) maintains reasonable safeguards to protect personal information and does not sell or share such information with third parties, except as required by law. All submitted identification will be retained only as long as necessary for verification purposes and securely disposed of thereafter.

Class Changes & Scheduling

Hands Over Hearts CPR reserves the right to reschedule or cancel classes due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, students will be offered a reschedule.

 

Payment Disputes

By booking, you agree not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute for services rendered in accordance with these policies.

 

Liability Waiver

By attending training, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and agree to release and hold harmless Hands Over Hearts CPR (HOHC), its owners, staff, instructors, training site, and affiliated training centers from any and all liability for personal injury, illness, or property damage that may occur.

 

Photo/Video Release (Optional)

Photos or videos may be taken during training for business and promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to the use of your image.

Students who wish to opt out must sign a waiver provided at the beginning of class. If the waiver is not signed and/or an option is not selected on the waiver as instructed, consent will be assumed.

Instructor Class Cancellation / Minimum Enrollment

Classes are subject to cancellation or rescheduling due to low enrollment for group classes or unforeseen circumstances for any or all other classes. In such cases, the student listed on the original booking will be offered a one-time reschedule within 30 days of the exact class selected on booking.

Schedule Changes

Hands Over Hearts CPR reserves the right to reschedule or modify class times if necessary.

Payment Disputes

By booking, you agree not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute for services rendered in accordance with these policies.

 

Age / Physical Requirement

Students must meet minimum age requirements and be physically able to perform all required skills and activities. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities; however, students must still be able to perform required skills with or without accommodations.

For Family & Friends/Babysitting courses, children and pre-teens must be accompanied by an adult.
